School Show

Rehearsals for the next school show are scheduled to start soon, with performances planned for the week before the October holidays.


S1 1514 Quiz

Well done to all the S1 finalists of the 1514 Quiz which took place as part of the Common Riding Day last week.


Hockey Festival

There is an S1-S3 mixed hockey festival taking place at Tweedbank Astro on four Friday’s in May… 5th/17th/19th/16th from 2.30- 4.30pm. You enter your own team of 6 players and turn up each week to play. If you are interested or need more information please see Miss Knox.

We’re Looking for a new Headteacher

Hawick High School is a unique school located in a beautiful town at the heart of the Scottish Borders.

We are looking for a new Headteacher, and applications are now open up until Sunday, 16th April 2017.


S3 Senior Phase Information Evening

A reminder that there is a Senior Phase Information Evening Thursday 2nd March 5.45-8pm; The evening will start at 5.45pm in the Lecture Hall for S3 students and parents. The evening will then have presentations for different subject areas including Borders College Courses, careers and university advice (LEAPS) where students and parents can opt into. Pastoral teachers will be available on the evening to see parents as required. Any questions please see your pastoral teacher or Mrs Ratcliffe as soon as possible.


Volunteering Opportunity – ‘Special Fun Together’

If you are interested in volunteering to work with people with disabilities, please contact ‘Special Fun Together’ group on 07973890911. They are looking for young people 16 +to help with activities run once a month for 1.5 hour in the Burnfoot Community Hub.


Annual Hawick Art Club s1/2 “Still Life” Art Competition

Hawick Art Club usually choose the winning entries from S1/S2 class work during the month of May. If you would like to put in an extra entry into the competition come along to a meeting at 1.45 p.m. on Tuesday 28th February 2017 in Mrs Murray’s Art Room H7, where we can arrange extra art sessions in the department to allow you to use facilities in the art department.
