David Finnie was born on July the 25th 1960. He attended Hawick High School from 1972 to 1976. His favourite teacher was Mr Bob Elliot. He has worked as a printer since leaving schoolÂ and became very involved in political work including being an election agent for the local Labour Party. He was on the Scottish Advisory Committee of the independent Broadcasting Authority. At school David had thought about becoming an architect however most of his dreams were about music. A singer -song writer, his most famous song is “Old Mill Town”. He sings in a group called 3D. His other interests include reading and sports.
